Pastimes and hobbies evolving into a business (?) ...... to fund a habit.
While I still have a day job that I enjoy (most days), I look forward to evenings, weekends, and holidays to continue challenging and developing my skills working with steel and timber. There is something satisfying about stepping back as a project concludes and seeing the fruits of ones labors. I am drawn to functionality in what I make, and as one project leads to the next, I find myself needing an outlet for what I make, and an income to support a habit. If you think you can help with this problem, if some of the stuff I've built inspires you, I'd enjoy talking with you.
I've always enjoyed and respected the solid look and feel of timber frame construction as a time tested craft. The idea and beauty of beefy natural wood structures, held together by carefully designed & crafted joinery, calls to me. My ambition is to create a business that supplies small timber frame kits for urban backyards. Imagine, a gazebo, a pergola, a she shed, a greenhouse, a wood shed, a children's play area, in your back yard that can stand the test of time and is the envy of your neighbors. If you'd like to be part of this ambition, I'd enjoy talking with you.
